Your analysis assignment due this Thursday, March 6 is as follows:
There were several posts on the message board about international relations. There are a lot of difficult issues in the international arena, such as the Turks going after Kurdish fighters in Iraq, Kosovo's claim of seperatism from Serbia, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Refer to each of these issues (demonstrate that you have a basic understanding of them), as you answer this question:
What should be the role of the U.S. in the world with regards to difficult issues of international disagreement?
Keep in mind that in recent decades we have shunned neutrality and non-intervention, and now we take a position on these 3 issues. You should know that we tell Turkey that it can't go after their Kurdish enemies in Iraq, we recognize Kosovo independence, and we take the side of Israel, subsiziding financially their continued dominance. So the above question is asking you to evaluate how we interact with foreign nations. In your answer, define what our current posture is (based on these 3 examples), and then evaluate that current approach. Is it good or should we re-think our position on foreign policy? Do you propose an alternative viewpoint?
Here are the blog posts that relate to the issue at hand so that you can review this issue:

I encourage you to do additional reading on the details of these three issues, since there is only a small amount of information in the blog posts.
